How to create, organise, and version-control your simulations in Dr.Q.
Creating a project
- Click "+ Add Project" on the dashboard
- Enter a descriptive project name
- Optionally organise into folders using the
Folder/ProjectNamesyntax - Click "Create"
Naming convention
Use the pattern Component_LoadCase_Version, for example Bracket_TensileLoad_v3. This makes projects easy to find and understand at a glance.
Managing projects
The dashboard shows all your projects with filtering and sorting options. Use the three-dot context menu on any project to rename, duplicate, or delete it.
Duplicate a project before making significant changes. It takes a few seconds and gives you a safe fallback if the new setup doesn't work out.
